Successful Completion of the Second Stage of Test-Stand Trials of a Low-Cost Hybrid Rocket Propulsion System

The second stage of our experimental program has been successfully completed. It comprised seven test-stand trials and provided a substantial body of experimental data. The testing involved both successful results and off-nominal events, including one explosion and damage that rendered two engines inoperable. One of the trials was completed successfully. This series of tests enabled us to accumulate unique practical and experimental experience. The results allowed us both to confirm most of the design parameters incorporated into the project and to identify and reject solutions that proved incorrect or ineffective. The knowledge and experimental data obtained during this stage provide the necessary foundation for proceeding to the next phase of the program. The second stage is now complete. We are moving on to the third stage: refinement of the design parameters and fabrication of the ballistic propulsion unit.
